As an Executive Director of DMS Governance Ltd. (DMS), Francine Balbina leads all aspects of the service delivery, across multiple product lines, for Brazilian and Latin American clientele. Ms. Balbina also spearheads business development opportunities and is responsible for growing the firm’s infrastructure in Brazil as well as the relationships between Brazilian and offshore service providers.
She has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having previously served as an Associate of DMS where she maintained a broad portfolio of funds, gaining invaluable insight on the operations of Cayman funds. Ms. Balbina was employed with Conyers Dill & Pearman (Conyers) where she successfully assisted in launching the São Paulo office, with Conyers being the first offshore law firm to establish an office in Brazil. Earlier in her career, she interned for the United Nations in both Geneva and New York.
Ms. Balbina holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Eckerd College, Florida and a Master’s degree in Business Consultancy from Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA- USP). She is also fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
